What is Rosacea?

Have you heard of Microscopic mites?

Microscopic mites called demodex folliculorum usually live harmlessly on human skin but people with rosacea have particularly large numbers, which may play a role in the condition.

It is currently uncertain whether the mite is a cause or an effect of rosacea although some researchers have suggested the symptoms may be caused by the skin reacting to bacteria in the mites faeces, and therefore I always advice my clients to keep the skin clean. This is vital when suffering with rosacea or acne to keep the skin clean for eliminating bacteria’s that can worsen the skin condition.

Keep your skin clean! But don’t exaggerate because this can also cause your skin’s Ph Level to become more acidic and therefore you may experience more outbreaks and sensitivity. Also please avoid product hopping or mix and match different product brands as this can have the same effect as overdoing your beauty routine.

I would recommend to change your facial towels and pillow cases once a week! I have been a medical skincare specialist for 30 years and my main focus is skin trauma and rosacea.

What would I suggest to reduce the effects of rosacea and gain perfect skin confidence again?

First of all as I mentioned before, keep your skin clean. It’s vital! And please don’t use a flannel since the wet and damp

But you need to use the RIGHT facial cleanser.

What makes a facial cleanser the right one for rosacea?

It needs to be:

  • Calming and soothing with chamomile
  • Reduce Redness
  • Anti Inflammatory
  • Hydrating
  • Parfume Free/ Fragrance Free
  • Parabens Free

I would highly recommend our Azulene Foam Gel Active since it’s  anti bacterial and a hydrating foam, calming, soothing, reduces redness and gives your skin an amazing glow.

It’s our best seller especially for rosacea and it has a beautiful fresh aroma.

A very important point is when suffering with rosacea to use luke warm water not too hot and not too cold since you don’t want to cause more irritation and skin dryness.

A 'how to' guide on how to use your Claudia Fallah products

Avoid things that can trigger your symptoms and eliminate them from your lifestyle like:

  • Alcohol ( especial red wine with high tannins)
  • Caffein
  • Spicy food
  • Strong winds especially when cycling (please use our Ultra Pro-Tech daily moisturiser)
  • Sun exposure
  • Hot and cold weather
  • Saunas and steam rooms and long hot bath
  • Stress
  • Avoid cleansing face brushes it can worsen your skin condition and bacteria thrives in damp inviroments
  • Poor facial hygiene
  • High sugar intake
  • Product hopping and product overload

Another product I would highly recommend for rosacea is our Intensive Repair Creme.

It is a sophisticated moisturiser that helps to sooth and promotes healing and cell regeneration, releasing the skin from redness and that painful thigh feeling. We have experienced fantastic results with all our clients suffering from rosacea with this product to the extend that these clients can’t live without this creme.

I always say less is more, so please once again don’t over do your beauty routine.

If you are experiencing the red bumps and spots with your rosacea which sometimes can get so bad and irritating that your spots in your cheek area will start weeping or even bleeding I would recommend our multi-purpose rescue creme called cover rescue.

Once applied onto the skin you can experience an instant cooling relieve that stops the weeping/bleeding and calms the irritation within a few hours.

Our clients call this product the magic creme!

There are also treatments like the Biotherapy LLLT (low level laser therapy) when experiencing these painful rosacea spots for fast pain relief and wound healing combined with ozone therapy that will give your skin an instant relieve and reduction in redness.
